Application Guidelines

Application Temperature:
Above 50°F (10°C)
Assembly Time After Glue Application:
15 minutes (70°F./50% RH)
Machinery :
Designed for use with Black Bros. Panel Express, Evans series 4260 & 4600, Midwest Automation RP3140 & RP3170 continuous panel laminators. For limited lay-up time cold-press operations and pinch roll and dead stacking operations, the machinery options are many. Postforming equipment that spray adhesives and immediately process the panels are ideal.
Substrates:
High pressure laminate to particleboard or fiberboard
Tolerances :
Gluing stock should be uniform in thickness. Variation in thickness should not exceed ± .005 inches. Sanding to thickness should be performed using higher than 50 grit abrasives.
Spread :
Generally, 35-50 pounds per 1,000 square feet of glue line (6-9 wet mils or 180-260 ft2/gal) is adequate. Conveyorized spreaders are commonly used in this application
Cleanup:
Damp cloth while glue is wet. Scrape off dried excess.
Limitations:
Titebond QuickSet 2000 is specifically designed for use on applications with large surface areas. For this reason it is not suited for other types of assembly applications. Not recommended for continuous submersion or for use below the waterline. KEEP FROM FREEZING. For more information on specific applications, call our Technical Support Team at 1-800-347-4583.
