Application Guidelines

Application Temperature:

Over 40°F for adhesive and substrates

Service Temperature Range:

0°F to 120°F

Working Time:

5-10 minutes

Prep:

Surfaces must be clean and free of any material that may prevent adequate adhesion.

Application:

Cut tip on slant for 1/4” to 3/8” bead. Puncture inner seal and place in cartridge gun. Apply continuous parallel beads on the back of the cove base approximately 1” to 1 ½” apart. Press cove base firmly and uniformly against the wall within 5-10 minutes of applying adhesive. Note: Irregular or curved wall surfaces may require bracing until the adhesive has set.

Cleanup:

Tools and adhesive may be cleaned with water while the adhesive is wet. If dried, tools and adhesive may be cleaned with water/acetone/vinegar mixture. Follow solvent vendor’s precautions.

Limitations:

Titebond Cove Base Plus Adhesive is not designed for continuous submersion. When applying over paint, wallpaper, ceramic tile or other non-porous materials, "roughing up" the area by sanding or scraping will increase bond strength. For best results, store adhesive above 40°F.
